Cultural Gift Donations

The Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program encourages Australians to donate items of cultural significance from private collections to public art galleries, museums, libraries and archives. Tax-deductible gifts can range from paintings, sculptures, books and manuscripts to jewellery, decorative arts, scientific or social history collections. 

Valuers for the Cultural Gifts Program undergo a stringent selection process and are required to meet strict professional codes of conduct to qualify.

Elizabeth Hastings is approved to value:

Australian, American, British and European paintings, sculpture, photography, prints and drawings after 1900.

New Zealand (excluding Maori traditional art) and South African (excluding African tribal art) paintings, sculpture, photography, prints and drawings after 1940.

Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Singaporean and Malaysian art after 2000.
